Ever heard of what goes around comes around?

Yes, you heard it right, Y2K is back in fashion. So, to all those Mean Girls and Legally Blonde fans, it’s time to step out and make a loud statement. While thinking of Y2K we’re sure you can’t stop thinking of Britney Spears or Paris Hilton who aced this look and have been the go-to for some real 2000s inspiration.

Lately, we’re seeing the whole nostalgic movement taking place in the fashion sphere, as influencers, as well as celebrities like Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid, have been showing so much love for the trend with their chic and effortless outfits.

Love Y2K fashion? Keep scrolling to find the key trends that dominated the 2000’s and how you could incorporate some of them and join the Y2K tribe!

1. BUCKET HATS

Bucket hats made a comeback on the Instagram feeds of almost all fashionistas. Well, why not? It can make your outfit look so much elevated without any effort. We wouldn’t refrain from saying that it has been our go-to accessory most times when we’re having a serious fashion crisis.

2.GLITZ WITH SOME GLAM

Who doesn’t like to be a bit extra sometimes? And what’s better than your clothes screaming out some party vibes loud and clear? We know the trend could be a bit overwhelming but it can always be balanced up by wearing such pieces with a basic wardrobe essential like a blue denim or a blazer.

3.ALL PINK WITHOUT A SHRINK

The minute we think of all pink we have instant flashes of Reese Witherspoon from Legally Blonde. She brought the perfect feminine and dramatically polished vibe to the look.

If you are someone who doesn’t like it all dreamy and dramatic and maybe think it’s too much you could always mix and match or even wear shades of pink to make it less OTT.

4.BAGUETTE BAGS

The baguette bag, also referred to as the shoulder bag, is quintessential when you want something that isn’t as big as a tote or as small as a clutch. From bright colours to muted tones, it can also sometimes be the star of a look.

For an everyday look:

For a more playful look:

5. LOW RISE WITH A WIDE LEG

Who does low rise jeans better than Britney Spears, right? She wore it effortlessly and ended up creating some of the most iconic looks in the 2000s.

Off late, influencers like Claire Rose and Bella Hadid make sure to convince us to buy a pair and add it to our closest.

6. TINY STRAPPY SANDALS

Looking for something that can easily elevate your look from day to night by adding that perfect mix of romance and chicness? The tiny strappy sandals are your go to then! The thin teeny straps give a subtle sneak of your feet and if you are still confused, we highly recommend you take some serious cues from Aimee Song who has mastered these sandals like a babe.

7. CROPPED TEES AND BABY TANKS

When confused we suggest going with a baby tank. It could be any solid color to add that vibrance to a look. But if you feel that’s way too plain and simple, try a cropped tee that has some pattern, design or even a cool slogan on it.

8. TRUCKER HATS

Trucker hats are one trend that definitely did define the 2000s fashion with icons like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton wearing it while out on the streets. This feels more like an accessory that can give a cool, funky and a pretty dope vibe to the outfit. Although in the 2000’s the trend was a little more cuter and prettier, the new style has been adapted with a street vibe. Check out Rihanna wearing the trucker hat and you will know what we mean.
