Tie-Dye

Tie-dyeing is fun and easy to do. You just need a plain white shirt or any item you choose, and choose dyes based on your preferred colour – and there you go! Now you design the items however you want. There are many youtube videos that give you a step-by-step guide on how to go about it.

Crochet

Popular crochet styles that have been resurfacing on social media nowadays are 70’s inspired crochet styles. Crochet tops, skirts, hats, dresses and swimwear are all the rage right now on social media. And, they’re perfect for summer!

Beaded Jewelry

Inspired by the Y2K trend, beaded jewellery is also all over social media. With celebrities and influencers alike seen wearing beaded items, this is a popular trend at the moment. Beads are available in many department stores or dollar stores, so it is very accessible and a very doable trend.

Patchwork denim

Patchwork denim takes a little bit of work and requires more experience in sewing, but once you get the hang of it, it’s definitely worth your labour and time. Patchwork denim is a way to upcycle old or thrifted jeans. You can put your own unique twist and spice up your jeans to stand out.

Beaded Phone Chains

Similar to the beaded jewellery trend, beaded phone chains are also inspired by the rise of the Y2K fashion trend. They’re very easy to make and very affordable. If you want something that will stand out and impress the crowd, go to Pinterest or Instagram to look for design inspirations!
