Winters are an absolute nightmare to our skin. During this time of the year our skin needs and deserves extra love and affection. We’ve curated a step routine for you to reach your skin goals during Winters!
With the harsh winters it is a hundred percent possible for your skin to run dry and be dehydrated. Let go of your foaming cleansers for the winters; they are a quick and easy way to strip your skin of all the natural oils.
Instead switch to a Cleansing balm. Cleansing balms make your skin feel ore hydrated and moisturised.
- Gentle Exfoliant
Winter welcomes dry and flaky skin. The best way to treat such skin is exfoliation. Due to your already dehydrated skin, it is recommended to use gentle exfoliators (So no walnut and apricot scrubs). Get rid of physical exfoliators and instead use chemical ones.
- VITAMIN C SERUM
Winter often causes skin discoloration, dullness and fine lines. Vitamin C serums are a one stop fix to all of those problems and much more. No matter the season, a vitamin C serum should always be a part of your routine. The best part is that they work for all skin types.
Make sure to never skip moisturising during winters. This is the season when your skin needs it the most. Use immediately after cleansing and serum application. Trust us, it’ll save your skin.
- Nighttime Cream
Ditch your lightweight moisturisers and switch to thicker creams to lock in all the hydration while you sleep. Make sure to use creams with no fragrance.
- Overnight Mask
Alternate your nightime cream with an overnight mask to give your skin the extra moisture lock it needs during winters. It’ll allow your skin to reap the most possible benefits.
- Lip Balms
God knows how chapped and cracked our lips get during winters. To prevent the dry lips and cracking, always have a lip balm on you (keep one in every bag you use so you never forget!)
It is always easy to forget drinking water but all the skincare you do will only do so much if you are not properly hydrated. Make it a habit to at least have 3 litres of water everyday. This goes not only during winters but every other Season.
