Quarantine mood

Hello everyone, it’s time for our Fashion Friday! Today we’ll be featuring Ariana Christie, a fashion arts and business student at Humber. Ariana’s look for today is basically ‘a quarantine look’ for most of us. She likes pastel colours that complement her. She is a young and confident woman inspired by Kylie Jenner, Ariana Grande and Gigi Hadid for their fashion sense.

This is a perfect summer look that keeps you cool. Light colours are preferable or summer not only because of the heat but also because they make you look fresh and ready!

It’s amazing how choice of colours can make so much difference in a person’s mood. You might notice that on days you love what you’re wearing, you’ll be happier and more confident.

One of Ariana’s fashion tip is to wear what you love and in which you think you’ll be comfortable. It’s so important to be comfortable in your own skin and enhance your beauty by accepting your flaws.

Let’s find more about her look:

Ariana has paired a white tank top with blue and white striped bottoms and a simple black bracelet in hand. One can easily find such clothes at H&M, ZARA, Ardene, Urban Planet and Sirens. Although, here is what you can find on Express:

It’s a very basic V-neck camisole in a metallic fabric which is perfect for summer just like in Ariana’s look. It’s impressive how Express usually has more styling ideas on their website for their customers. Here’s a reference for this top:

This is great for us. This way it’s so easy for consumers to know more about styling the product they are thinking to buy. It’s a great business strategy to for up sale as you might end up buying other products which they’ve styled with your desired item.

We all know how much we want to keep our wardrobes up to date with all the trendy clothes but as we go, there have been some concerns. We as fashion admirers understand how this industry can be a threat to the environment. Therefore, it’s us who can make a difference, It won’t be easy to leave fast fashion and switch to expensive clothing as money can be a concern but if we limit our purchases and only buy what we know will be there in our closets for long, we can do it.

Here’s a tank top from Kotn, which a Canadian sustainable brand. They have minimal fashion looks and it’s great for the environment. It could be a little pricey, but you can definitely keep an eye for a sale!

As for the stripped bottoms, you can easily find them at H&M, ZARA, Old Navy etc. here’s what you can get from Old navy:

These high waisted linen pants are great for summer. They are available in sizes 0-20, also in different colours. Other colours have a rayon blend but this one is 100% cotton that means it is a great choice!

To finish the look, just make sure to keep it casual with flip flops and a simple hand accessory like Ariana’s.

Well, that’s all for this week, have a great weekend!
