Fashion has had its way with defining genders, but what we forget to realize is that it is a form of art and self-expression, in the past few years gender fluidity has become much more socially acceptable, with still a long way to go. Clothes no longer define who we are, but we define our clothes. As we celebrate Pride month, here are some influencers for some genderless fashion and makeup inspo for you next inspiration!

Jamie Windust

Jamie Windust is a writer, public speaker, activist and model. They are also the founder editor in chief at Fruitcake magazine. Their Instagram feed is a major inspiration for fashion and makeup, with bright colours and amazing aesthetics which are focused on inclusion and problems faced by the LGBTQ community.

Alok V Menon.

Alok V Menon is a performer, speaker and fashionista who identifies as a non-conforming individual. They express themselves with writing, speaking and performance art. The Instagram page is full of colours. Fashion and makeup look that are self-expressive that don’t confine to genders. They have launched three lines of gender-neutral clothing as well!

Vittorio Franco

A London based musician, model, fashion and makeup lover identifies as queer! The Instagram feed is very expressive artistically mainly through makeup and fashion.

Umber Ghauri

A makeup artist, speaker and model. The Instagram feed consists of artistic expression using makeup for the people of colour. An influencer you should definitely follow.

The above influencers mainly use the form of fashion or art to represent the LGBTQ on Instagram. While the community is highly under-presented on social media, these influencers have managed to make a difference with their voices, while laws have been passed in their favor they struggle for social acceptance in many countries.
