Hair Accessory Trends for 2022

As you upgrade your wardrobe for the new year, don’t forget to do the same with your collection of hair accessories. If you really want to change up your look, you should also upgrade your hair styling routine. Even without a new hairstyle you can still level up your overall look by refreshing your hair accessories collection. Accessories are the finishing touch of any look, and it is equally important as putting together a perfectly good outfit.

1. Embellished Clips

Clips are another throwback from the 2000’s fashion era. The only difference this year is that they’re bigger, better, and bejeweled. For fashionistas who think “the more the better” this is the accessory for you. This will make sure that your outfit will look fashionable and stunning. 


2. Headscarves

Headscarves are classic hair accessories, and throughout the years it has proven itself to be a staple fashion piece. Headscarves had its resurgence in the R&B 2000’s era. Every star such as Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce etc have been seen rocking the accessory. This year, headscarves are designed to have a retro, and minimalist aesthetic. This gives a sophisticated appeal, and it can be worn casually or formally.


3. Organza scrunchies

Scrunchies are the ultimate girl’s best friend. Oversized scrunchies have been all the rage for a while now, so maybe it’s time to change things up. Organza scrunchies will take the center stage this year. Organza is a sheer fabric that gives off a dainty and minimalist aesthetic. 4. Headbands

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen any headbands around. Finally, they are back in style again! If you were a kid or a teen growing up in the 2000’s this hair accessory will definitely make you feel nostalgic. This brings back memories when almost every female character on shows and movies wore a headband as their go to hair accessory. We’re talking about Lizzie McGuire, Wizards of Waverly, Gossip Girl etc. This year you have different options to choose from; from ultra-wide headbands best for athletic or casual wear, to embellished headbands as a statement piece.


5. Fur bucket hats

This may not come as a surprise, but bucket hats are still in style. This trend is still ongoing, and it’s definitely here to stay for a little while. Over the last year bucket hats have been incorporated in spring, summer, fall, and winter fashion. This year fury bucket hats will take the spotlight. They will come in all sorts of colours and patterns, and you will have no problem finding one that speaks to you. With so much versatility, there is no reason why you shouldn’t have your hands on one.
