There are many places you can go where you can find yourself walking through endless trees drizzled with white snow and birds that fly from one tree to another. You can discover a natural atmosphere that sends you on a peaceful escape. Near the Humber River Valley in Vaughan there are beautiful, picturesque grounds and trails that are open every day of the week! Not in Vaughan? That’s totally okay because there are trails throughout the GTA. In Hamilton there is a gorgeous winter lake and waterfall that looks stunning when it freezes over in the winter. Don’t believe me? Skating:
Did you know that skating has been a part of Canada’s heritage since 1840? Since then, skating rinks have been a popular sport that everyone can enjoy! Don’t know how to skate? Its fairly easy, it’s just like rollerblading or roller-skating! I have just the places to skate with your families this winter! The College Mark Rink is a beautiful space which is located near College Street and Yonge Street. It’s a rink that allows you to embrace the city and all it has to offer. Chinguacousy Park Skate Trail on the other hand is located near a community centre that offers every sport imaginable and turns into a skating rink in the winter. Family Game Night:
So, you want to play a game and show off your competitive side, but you don’t know where to start? First things first, you have to make sure you got the right snacks. Chips and dip are the ultimate game night snack, whether it be salsa and tortilla chips or plain lays chips with dip, it definitely adds to the fun!
