Fashion is not always about shopping for a brand new purse or those gorgeous earrings. As this year has given us the luxury of time, it is time to get touch with creativity. For this week’s Fashion Friday segment we bring to you next ‘At-home activity’. Here are some DIY projects for you to take your fashion game ahead of everyone without spending a ton.

Old is Gold…

Bored of your old slippers? Take a rectangular scarf or a long piece of fabric and wrap it around the strap of the slippers (like shown in the image) and tie them around your ankles. The best part about this is you can change the scarf according to the outfit every time!

A ‘no-sew bag’! Doesn’t it sound fun and easy. Cut a medium size circle out of leather. Punch holes at equal distance and pass a broad ribbon through it. Pull the ribbon together and make a bow. Attach a detachable strap to two sides of the bag. The ribbon can always change depending on the outfit.

Need a new pair of hoop earrings? Use different colors of threads on the hoops, there are always ways to get creative with this, you can use one, two or even three different colours. Variation in thickness of the hoops can also be added. To change its style and compliment the outfit.

While face masks have become the new accessory, using non-reusable face masks are a huge problem for the environment. Reusable face masks can be easily cut out of a T-shirt of your favorite color or print like shown in the image below.

DIY’s are great for at-home projects which reduce consumption levels, promote sustainability and are great for your pockets as well.
