The sun is shining at it’s fullest, and warmer days are here to come. It’s finally time to go outside, have fun and make the best out of the warm weather. But with the humid weather, it’s difficult to keep your makeup from looking fresh – so a minimal makeup look is preferred. Minimal makeup gives you that effortless natural glow and highlights your best features. In no time, you’ll be looking pretty and fresh without putting much effort!
Here are the steps to achieving that minimal summer makeup look.
1. Prep Your Skin
Prepping your skin is a must in every makeup routine. You need to have a good base to apply your makeup in order to get better results. So, cleanse your face with your favourite cleanser, then apply a hydrating cream to keep the moisture in your skin. And of course, do not forget to apply sunscreen afterwards!
2. Apply A Foundation
Invest in a light foundation – it can either be a liquid foundation, BB cream or powder foundation. Then, cover your dark circles, discolouration, blemishes, or imperfections with a good concealer.
3. Eye Makeup
Bronze, pink, and peachy tones are super popular in the summer for your eyes. Lightly apply one or two shades of these colours on your lids, for a subtle makeup look. Then line your eyes with your favourite black or coloured eyeliner.
4. Brows & Lashes
To achieve an effortless makeup look, instead of filling in your brows use a clear or coloured gel liner to brush your eyebrows upward. Curl your lashes and use a clear lash gel or mascara.
5. Blush, Bronze, Highlight
Apply blush on cheeks with pink, or peachy toned blush, and apply a bronzer to warm up your face. Then highlight the high tips of your face such as, tip of the nose, cheeks, and you can even apply it on your lids for a glossy look.
6. Lips
Finish with a neutral shade closest to your lip colour to achieve a minimal look. You can also use a sheer lipstick or gloss, that has pink, and peachy tones for a subtle glam look that still looks minimal.
