If you thought that Bridgerton only inspired fashion trends during 2021, let me tell you dear reader, you are wrong. As you may have noticed, the second season of Bridgerton brought us some beautiful inspired period pieces, from necklaces and earrings to tops and dresses and this has caused the Regencycore trend to be more present than ever.

The style refers to the clothing that was used in the United Kingdom in the Regency period, which took place between the years between 1811 and 1820.

Beyond wanting to relive the romance of Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke or the one between Miss Kate Sharma and the Viscount, we can also copy their elegant and refreshing style. Here’s a small list of pieces you should own if you want to join the trend and be “The Diamond of the Season.” Because who doesn’t want to wear pearls, floral dresses, and puff sleeves.

  1. Pastel colours

Although the most vibrant colors also appear in the series, being the favourites of the Featheringtons, pastel colors are the most used by those of the ton. Lilac, pink, light blue and green are the ones that stand out the most in both the Sharmas and the Bridgertons.

  1. Square neckline

The square neckline is perfect for accentuating your collarbone and jewelry. We first saw it making a comeback from Renaissance and Victorian days with the cottagecore and we think it is here to stay thanks to the symmetry look it gives.

  1. Pearls

Since ancient times, pearls have represented elegance, loyalty and purity. And they are a piece used repeatedly during the first and second seasons of Bridgerton. From earrings, necklaces, brooches or headdresses for hair, pearls are going to be a good addition to your outfit.

  1. Bustier and Corset

Unlike the Regency era where corsets and bustiers were used as undergarments to accentuate the figure of the ladies, now we wear them for everyone to see. We’ve seen them over shirts, as tops, and under blazers. This fashion trend has been seen on the catwalks of designer collections such as Dior, Schiaparelli and Balmain.

  1. Puff sleeves

Simple hairstyles, delicate jewelry and blouses or dresses that have these sleeves will be yes if you want to look like a Sharma or Bridgerton. Brands like Carolina Herrera, Rodarte and Giambattista Valli have used this style in their collections this year.
