As the temperature is rising, everyone is looking forward to having a fun time outside in the sun. After a complete year in our baggy t-shirts and loungewear, we are SO ready for this year’s summer fashion trends. Lighter hues, airy fabrics, iced coffee, taking a stroll through the city and that envious beach tan; these are the things that pops up in our minds when we hear “summer”, right?
There are dresses, jumpsuits, crop tops, skirts, shorts and so much more! If you really think about it, summer fashion is one thing almost everyone is excited for.
From pastels to floral prints to new crop top styles, here are 5 Summer ‘21 fashion trends on our radar.
Puffy Sleeves
These voluminous sleeves have made a comeback, season after season and truthfully, we weren’t ready for this trend to leave us just yet! The puff sleeve makes a bold yet elegant statement at the same time. You can style it with pants, skirts or even shorts. Doesn’t this trend bring out the playful and feminine you? We highly recommend you to pair it with a cute baguette bag and a pair of pants.
Summer Scarves
These airy and easy-to-wear scarf tops were popular back in the 2000s when celebrities like Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera styled them with low-rise jeans and platform heels. And this summer, influencers on Instagram are swapping their crop tops with light, silky and printed scarves. There are also brands which are making scarf tops an actual thing.
Baguette Bag
The popular 90’s baguette bag has made a huge return and after two decades, it is now the It bag among famous celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Jessica Parker and many others. The baguette bag can definitely add a fun touch to your outfit without making it look extra. And just like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the city screams “It’s not a bag. It’s a Baguette!”
Pastel Paradise
This is definitely not our first time falling in love with pastel tones. Pastel tones feel soothing on the nerves and easy on the eyes. These are coming back in shades like periwinkle blue, lilac, soft yellow and mint which undoubtedly feel comforting yet gives a sense of sophistication to our outfits.
Not-so-basic Crop Tops
Nothing says ‘Summer’ entirely like crop tops. The thing we absolutely love about these tops is that there are different types and different ways to style them. You can pair these tops with high-waisted pants, shorts and skirts. You can even top-it-off with a blazer or a denim jacket to add some fun to your look.
