All Black Everything

It’s our first week back at school and I don’t know about you but I could not be happier for it to be Friday which also means of course the time has come for our Fashion Friday segment. In this segment I’ll be giving tips and tricks about thrifting and sustainable shopping, specifically how to recreate the looks featured in our Fashion Friday segment on Instagram with sustainable options.

This week were featuring Camille a Fashion Arts and Business student and a member of Infuse! Camille is inspired by lots of different people and her style advice is to try out something different and to wear it with confidence also to become familiar with what flatters your body. Camille’s outfit is all black from head to toe, her black fuzzy hat is from Rudsak, her jacket is from Zara, her black cropped jeans are from Value Village, and her pointed toe ankle boots are from Missguided. Camille’s all black layerd look is perfect for winter, it’s effortless and chic yet still trendy.

Now to recreate this look sustainably we have some option, as always thrifting is always an amazing choice. There’s so many amazing unique pieces to be found, just like Camille you can check out your local Value Village and see what you find. The other option is sustainable brands though it’s the pricier option of the two it’s still a great option, that is if your wallet can handle it.

Here are some sustainable options that work to recreate Camille’s all black look, starting with the jacket, now you may have more luck finding a jacket that looks like Camille’s in a thrift store as ive found that leather jackets are less common in sustainable brands. Keeping that in mind the sustainable brand Everlane has one leather jacket, they call it The Modern Leather Jacket it’s 100% lambs skin so this is definitely not vegan. It’s not exactly the same style as Camille’s but it was the best option I could find. For the jeans I found a really great option from a brand called Boyish Jeans, this brand focus’s on the fact that jeans use a lot of water and informs us that they use 1/3 of the normal amount used for making a pair of jeans. The Pair I chose is The Kirby which is currently on sale! And last but not least for the shoes I went back to one of my favorite brands Everlane, The Glove Boot ReKnit in black is the perfect boot for this look keeping things modern but still classic.

Camille’s look is the perfect all black look for this season it has so many textures and layers which is exactly what you want when wearing a monochromatic look! Hopefully Camille’s inspired your winter wardrobe with this all black look and hopefully I’ve inspired you to try more thrifting or sustainable shopping, I hope everyone’s first week of the winter semester was great welcome back and thanks for reading!
