7 Street Style Trends from Copenhagen Fashion Week You Need to Pick Up!

Designers from around the world debuted their Spring/Summer 2023 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The leading Nordic biannual fashion week ran from Aug. 9 – 12, where esteemed industry leaders attended four days of showcases and events.

From fluorescent pinks and oranges to all- black ensembles, from crochet to plaid – the streets were filled with people showing off their unique style. Here are some of our favourite street style picks that need to be in our closets!

  1.  Striped crochet dresses

Another addition to your summer wardrobe, crochet dresses make for the perfect outfit for a day out – in the city or the beach. A striped crochet dress offers geometry and contrasting colours that make the outfit eye-catching. You can go for a distressed style- dress, or pair it with some beaded jewelry for a vintage look.

  1. Low-waist loose pants

Y2K fashion is not going anywhere anytime soon, and low-waist jeans are one of the staples from the style. But that does not mean that the trend is reverting back to only skinny and flared jeans. Low-waist loose pants, including cargo pants or denims, are making the rounds these days. Pair them with a fitted, plain tank or blouse and a shoulder bag and you’re ready to strut the street!

  1. Cowboy boots

Cowboy boots are perhaps one of the more surprising trends for summer – but it hasn’t stopped models and celebrities from pulling some fabulous looks with the classic footwear. The best part about cowboy boots is that they can easily be paired with a variety of outfits, be it dresses, skirts, shorts or pants. Go for a unique colour, like red or blue, to make it a statement piece.

  1. Knit bucket hats

Protecting your face from the sun has never been boring since the comeback of the bucket hat. You can take your hat game to the next level by adding a knit bucket hat to your closet. Coordinate the colour of your bucket hats with your outfit to complete the look, be it dresses, shorts or pants or skirts!

  1. Leopard print skirt

Animal prints are definitely in this season. Leopard prints have been a staple in most closets for decades because they never seem to go out of style. A straight leopard print skirt is a piece that can be used in casual-wear or be elevated – pair it with a solid oversized t-shirt and boots for a day out, or with a satin blouse and loafers for a chic look.

  1. All-denim ensemble

You can never go wrong with denim, no matter the season. There’s something about all-denim outfits that lend a level of sophistication to the look. Vests are also coming back again – pair your low-waist jeans with a denim vest for a chic look, or coordinate your denim outfit with your accessories and add a pop of red.

  1. Crochet bags

Crochet bags make the perfect accessory for the summer. These knit bags, which come as totes, handbags and crossbody bags, can add a vibrant pop to your simple outfit and bring everything together seamlessly. And unlike mini-bags, crochet bags can actually store a lot of your belongings!
